Paul Northcott

Born and bred in Taranaki, Paul grew up on a farmlet in Eltham and spent a lot of time on family and friend’s farms in Mangatoki and Finnerty Rd in South Taranaki, actively learning about farming from an early age.  

Grandfather Percy Northcott from Opunake was a well-known coastal identity as a stock buyer for Borthwicks freezing works.  

Paul’s father, Noel Northcott also carried on the tradition of stock buying for Borthwicks covering the Central Taranaki area.  

Paul originally trained as an automotive mechanic and then moved to Okato in 1991 with his young family and bought his first business, Putt and Roebuck, a rural engineering and supply business. While in Okato, Paul was an active member of the Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Lions Club.  

Since then Paul has owned a vehicle dealership, managed a national steel distribution branch, and most recently provided health and safety support to farms and rural and provincial businesses in New Zealand.  

Now combining his interests, experience and passions to be a part of the Property Brokers and Farmlands Realty merger to provide Taranaki with the service it deserves from New Zealand's largest provincial real estate company.  

Paul and his wife Christine have been Farmlands Shareholders since 2012, and currently live on their lifestyle block in the Ridgewood/Veal Road area.
